After 20 years of sharing our newsletter every month, this Christmas, as usual, we want to wish you happy holidays and, inspired by the spirit around us, reflect on the role of companies in society. With this in mind, we interviewed Ramón Agenjo, Vice President of the Damm Foundation and President of Barcelona Global, among other positions, who explains how to convey values through genuine social projects.

His advice? Trust in your own project, led by people who know it, are passionate about it, and feel motivated.

/ Carbon Footprint Registry: The Ministry Clarifies Questions (December 2025)

The Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge has published clarifications regarding the Royal Decree that regulates the obligation to calculate the carbon footprint and develop emission reduction plans for certain companies.

Verifactu: The Extension, an Opportunity to Prepare

The announcement on December 2 that the entry into force of the new regulations on invoicing IT systems (SIF), known as Verifactu, has been postponed to January 1, 2027 for corporations and to the following July 1 for self-employed professionals and sole proprietorships opens a new opportunity for companies and professionals to prepare thoroughly and adopt the system best suited to their specific needs.

/ Conference: “Taxation for Sustainable Economic Leadership”

Our partner Valentí Pich took part on December 5 in the conference “Taxation for Sustainable Economic Leadership” organized by the Department of Economy of the Generalitat and the Barcelona Institute of Economics. In the roundtable he participated in, Pich remarked, among other points, that the image of taxation in Catalonia must improve in order to convey trust, transparency, and legal certainty to society as a whole. This is, without a doubt, a shared challenge that requires dialogue and collaboration between the administration, businesses, and professionals.

/ CILEA: International Forum on Anti-Corruption Policies and Actions

Coinciding with International Anti-Corruption Day, CILEA (Latin Europe-America Integration Committee), chaired by Valentí Pich, organized on December 9 an online International Forum on Anti-Corruption Policies and Actions, featuring top-level specialists from across Ibero-America and Europe, including Oriol Amat, Professor of Economics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, who spoke on “Financial Statements as a Tool for Detecting Fraud.” After the keynote sessions, Pich presented the conclusions.
