We begin the year 2023 with a host of new regulations that, in one way or another, affect us all, and which we have tried to explain in our first, and extensive, newsletter in January.
On December 21st 2022, the Spanish Government approved the Law 28/2022, on the promotion of the start-up ecosystem, known as the Startup Law. Some of the novelties of this new law 28/2022 affect the so-called Beckham Law (technically called the Special Regime for workers posted to Spanish territory in the Personal Income Tax Law), that is a special tax regime that offers better taxation for those who move their residence to Spain because of a job, who obtain a tax benefit.
The tax closing is one of the topics of our November newsletter, issue 173, which explains, among other things, some legal developments in force in 2023, the obligation of companies to have protocols against sexual harassment, the requirements to apply for the digital kit and a summary of the annual meeting of BNFIX Global. It also contains articles that try to resolve common doubts, on the one hand, on subsidised diesel and, on the other hand, on remuneration in kind.
Salvador Marín, Partner of BNFIX Advisory, highlights in this article, the important role and activity that professional firms such as ours can and should play in accompanying companies, SMEs and institutions in the preparation and verification of Non-Financial Reporting or Sustainability Statements.
We start the month of May with some news that make up our monthly newsletter, the 167th, and we wanted to begin with an informal, but very instructive chat, with the expert in European issues Carles Gasòliba, who gives us some insights and reflections about the international news that can most affect us.
Back from an Easter week that looked like the pre-Pandemic ones, we return to the usual rhythm of work with new concerns derived from the war in Ukraine or from the high inflation. These are two issues that influence the subjects we talk in our April’s newsletter 166, which we start with a conversation on inflation with the Deputy Secretary General of Foment del Treball, Salvador Guillermo.
This month we include an interview with Ernest Quingles, vice-president of Foment del Treball; he speaks about the supply problems of raw materials that the industry is suffering as a result of the logistical imbalances and economic stoppages from the pandemic; also, among other information, you will find articles about the obligatority of equality plans in companies with more than 50 workers, news abut the SMI and ERTES, and the publication of the new regulations on the 720 model.
